Braised Beef Shank

【Ingredients】

1000g Beef Shank
1 piece Ginger
1 stalk Green Onion
3 cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Cooking Wine
2 pieces Rock Sugar
5 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 pack Braising Spice Pack
30ml Fish Sauce Cho Teng

【Cooking Steps】
1.Cut the beef shank into three pieces, rinse thoroughly, and soak in clean water, changing the water to remove blood.
2.In a pot, add water, a few Sichuan peppercorns, ginger slices, and green onion. Add the beef shank.
3.Bring to a boil over high heat, skim off the foam, then remove the beef shank (save the broth). Soak the beef in cold water for 5 minutes until cooled.
4.In a clean pot, add water, the beef shank, green onion, ginger, and the braising spice pack. Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rock sugar, and cooking wine. Bring to a boil, then reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for 25 minutes.
